Our Philosophy

At Le Toy Van we take fun seriously and have serious fun doing it! Our toys are designed to play to developing senses and are packed with layers of discovery for young, growing imaginations.

We’re a proudly family-orientated company. Mr Le Van started it all 25 years ago and now his son Steven is at the helm as Chief of Fun! Supporting communities and building long-term relationships with our team and customers has always been important to us.

At Le Toy Van we’re big kids at heart. All of our toys are developed by our in-house creatives with a big helping of French flair provided by the Le Van family, who founded the company in 1995.

The same people have been making our toys, from sustainably sourced wood, for over 20 years. We know them, trust them and support their ethical working practices.

Our mantelpiece is crammed with fabulous awards. We’re proud to have won over 65 since 1995, covering all aspects of our design, quality, safety, play and educational value.

We design our toys to encourage and inspire long-term imaginative play. Sensory layers of colours, sound, texture and discovery ensure that a Le Toy Van toy becomes a well loved family favourite for generations to come.

The safety of your child is our number one priority. We rigorously test and regularly exceed toy safety standards. We only ever use safe, non-toxic paint and work hard – from design to manufacture – to ensure kid safe edges on our toys, for safe play every day.

At Le Toy Van we believe that there is no toy without fun. So we include local kids, as well as our in-house big kids, at all stages of our design process. If the little kids don’t like it, then it’s back to the drawing board!

Wooden toys are biodegradable and powered by make-believe so it’s the child’s creativity that does the legwork. They are more long lasting than their plastic counterparts; they are family heirloom in the making.
