Plastic Free Ambition – Updates

At Le Toy Van, we are constantly working towards our plastic free ambition and are excited to share our recent progress with you.

We have been redesigning our packaging so we can remove plastic inserts and replace with closed, compostable boxes. We’ve also added play features across our packaging boxes, from cut out tickets to use with our toys, to puzzles and games. Not only is this great fun for little ones to discover, it gives the packaging a further lease of life before it is recycled.

Noah's Shape Sorter

A toy that is now 100% plastic free is Noah’s Shape Sorter. This product previously had plastic dials to keep the roof in place, and we have made the change to wooden dials which will save millions of parts of plastic production each year! In the past, we have used a small amount of plastic for our clock hands on larger toys such as Alex’s Work Bench. We have made the decision going forward that when new production will take place, these plastic clock hands will be replaced with wooden parts.

We’re on a mission to create a world of play without plastic and hope that soon we can celebrate achieving our plastic free ambition!
