Plant a Tree with Le Toy Van & One Tree Planted, a non-profit environmental charity on a mission of global reforestation. We plant trees in North America, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
We have help plant trees in more than a dozen US states and across three Canadian provinces. Our projects restore forests in the wake of major wildfires like those in Paradise, California; repair damage caused by industry and resource extraction; and even support the endangered Southern Resident Orca of the Pacific Northwest.
In Latin America they are rebuilding forests and restoring land so the benefits of healthy tropical forests can be felt around the world. Our partners work with communities impacted by deforestation so they benefit from improved forest management practices and agricultural techniques like agroforestry. This also ensures the trees and land are taken care of for generations to come, and the forests can continue to thrive.
We are working on projects across Asia are helping rebuild the habitat of critically endangered species like orangutans, tigers, and more than 1,700 species of birds. These projects are creating jobs and providing sustainable, long-term income for communities so people and forests can live together in harmony.
Africa is on rebuilding animal habitat, restoring soil and critical watersheds, all while improving the lives of the communities who rely on the forests the most. Our planting partners promote agroforestry and educate farmers on the benefits of improved forestry practices, providing communities with sustainable sources of food, wood, and income.
Why Trees?
Trees are vital to our planet. They filter the air we breathe, clean the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the biodiversity on this planet. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people worldwide, provide medicines for our health, help regulate climate, and provide social impact with the local communities we work with.
