ABOUT US
We’re a family-run toy brand on a mission to spark little imaginations in a big way. Since 1995, we’ve been designing toys that are made to be played with, passed on and loved for years to come. Thoughtfully designed in the UK and made with sustainability in mind, our toys bring together timeless design, playful storytelling and a touch of nostalgia.

Our Values
What's important to us
Quality & Design
We pride ourselves on being a little obsessed with toy design. From the mechanics to the colour choice, we're meticulous creators, which means it can take over a year to develop each toy.
Inspiring wonder
Whether it’s a teddy tea party, a bustling shop or a world built entirely from imagination, we’re here for every moment of play and believe childhood should be full of wonder.
Sustainable play
We take sustainability seriously and always have. Almost all of our toys are entirely plastic free and we only work with FSC certified woods, so every piece respects the forest it comes from.
Community Focus
We love bringing people together through play. From our charitable partnerships to our growing digital community, we provide toys from our family to yours.

Putting people & the planet first
Proud to be a B Corp
To be a B Corp, we've completed strict assessments to ensure we uphold the highest standards of social and environmental impact. But B Corp isn’t a destination, it’s the beginning of the journey. That’s why we’re continually evolving our approach to doing business sustainably and ethically.

Our Story
1995: Where it all began
Our founder, Georges, created the very first Le Toy Van toy from his work shed, a beautiful dolls house replica of his own home for his son to play with. The local children loved it and soon Georges was making them for the whole neighbourhood. This sparked an idea and Le Toy Van was established.

Our story
1998: International Appeal
After a few years of selling his dolls houses, Georges headed to Spielwarenmesse, an international Toy Fair in Nuremberg, Germany. This was where Georges got his first large commerical order and he had to sell his beloved Austin Healey to pay for the production.

our story
2000: The Magic of Play
With the new millennium came new growth for Le Toy Van. We expanded our talented team of toy makers and international partners, developing new wooden toys to add to our collection. Fresh ideas brought a renewed focus on meticulous toy design, placing sustainability and play value at the forefront. Every toy still undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it meets the highest industry standards and is built to last for generations.

our story
2015: A New Generation
To mark 20 years of Le Toy Van, Georges retired, making way for his son Steven and daughter-in-law Marie to take over the business. Under their leadership, the company has gained international appeal, with market growth across every continent.

our story
2019: Planet First Practice
In 2019, we partnered with One Tree Planted to help us move closer to becoming a carbon-neutral business. We also removed all plastic from our packaging and now only use plastic in our toys when absolutely necessary for safety reasons. In 2022, we became officially FSC®-certified, ensuring our wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests that deliver environmental, social and economic benefits, while promoting zero deforestation, biodiversity protection and fair wages.

our story
2025: 30 years strong
2025 was a special year for our family business. Not only did we enter our third decade, we also became B Corp certified, joining a community of incredible brands who put people and the planet first.

our story
2026 and beyond
The future is bright for our family business. We're still focused on creating the best quality wooden toys that are expertly designed to look beautiful and inspire imaginative play.
